Today was one of those days with too many decisions. Boss wants to put me 50% on another project, but given current load and the fact that we don't know what the project does, except they sorely need an ops perspective, I don't know if that's realistic. I agree we need our foot in the door and I'm a good candidate, but we need to know what they are expecting so we have some power to push back and I don't get used as a mindless drone. Mmmph.

Oh really? My inquiries into How to Cook Eggs have led me to believe that you start with eggs in cold water for hard-boiled and eggs in already hot water for soft-boiled. I haven't had consistent results with ease of peeling with any technique, really, but it's not a big concern of mine so I haven't focused on it.

Hey, I can control this thing with my phone. Cooking eggs with my phone right now AIFG! That's right 10 more minutes at 176 my pretties, and then we'll see how you peel.

Hey all. Good new - didn't have to asked the dentist for pain meds, she had a script for Vicodin ready before I even thought about it. Bad news - 8 hours in the dentist chair. One extraction, temp bridge, and fillings in 6 other teeth took up the whole day. Mind you I made this appt late yesterday so she was fitting me in around the rest of their schedule.

I'm so tired. I hadn't had breakfast or lunch. I tried some noodles for dinner and they took too much chewing. Instead, tapioca is covering for all three meals.

8 hours! Damn. I hope your teeth are good to you for a good long time now and recovery is easy.

I am not sure what makes one hard-cooked egg superior to another, but I can say with confidence that my first sous vide egg peeled easily, had no grin ring around the yolk, and tasted good with a pleasant and not chalky texture. Yay. The other three from this batch will probably become egg salad if the avocado ripens and/or I make some mayo. Or decide that mustard will work just fine.
