Of course, there are rebel flag folks here. And they are pretty much the disaffected losers you might expect. Someone allowed Bobby Jindal to write things? He sounds like he has a tag on his wrist to help get home every day.(So maybe he's not stupid--he just wants your attention if you are.) But even his mom doesn't think he could be President.

That is to say, then we'll put you in an ice bath for 15 minutes and THEN we'll see how you peel.
Hey all. Good new - didn't have to asked the dentist for pain meds, she had a script for Vicodin ready before I even thought about it. Bad news - 8 hours in the dentist chair. One extraction, temp bridge, and fillings in 6 other teeth took up the whole day. Mind you I made this appt late yesterday so she was fitting me in around the rest of their schedule.
I'm so tired. I hadn't had breakfast or lunch. I tried some noodles for dinner and they took too much chewing. Instead, tapioca is covering for all three meals.
Oh man, Suzi. Congrats on making it through!
8 hours! Damn. I hope your teeth are good to you for a good long time now and recovery is easy.
I am not sure what makes one hard-cooked egg superior to another, but I can say with confidence that my first sous vide egg peeled easily, had no grin ring around the yolk, and tasted good with a pleasant and not chalky texture. Yay. The other three from this batch will probably become egg salad if the avocado ripens and/or I make some mayo. Or decide that mustard will work just fine.
Do you have non-chewy ice cream, Suzi? Because you totally deserve it right now.
That's a long dental day. Miso soup, cauliflower leek or scallion soups (run through blender, add cheese.) Blended veg chili works too. While I've not done that long in a chair, my jaws hate even one crown's worth of work, so chewing motion is rough for several days. And while I no longer have active mental anxiety over dentist visits, that kind of physical trauma is exhausting ( I still tense up despite actively trying to relax, reason why I get the bite bumper, it's unconscious) and I find crazy knots in my shoulders.
I hope you feel better soon.
I do have dental anxiety. Part of what keeps me from going regularly. They kept commenting on how calm I seemed. They didn't hear my constant mantra of "relax" and "zen" or see me after I left and turned into a mess.
Vicodin has kicked in. Not pain free but it isn't the only thought in my head.
Nora, I forgot to respond about the walk up waffle place also being the place you likely got cake but, yes, it would have to be! And, you really need to get back here so I can take you on a beer tour!
My dentists still treat me like my dental phobia is at 11, when really, it is pretty much a 2 now ( not funtimes, I will get stressed during, but it's not an obstacle) and book me regular stuff 2 visits out and emergent stuff within a week or so. I appreciate it.
...so I have been freaking out that an outlet was going bad after the Pumpkin got into the basement rafters near it and the fan plugged into it had been shutting off. So I plugged it elsewhere and planned to call the electrician. And then it shut off again.
... Apparently, it remembers if you've hit the time fan cycle even when turned off which I apparently did when I knocked it over cleaning this weekend.
Whew, no electrical issues.
