Ginger, thanks for posting that. I needed a reminder of why I still have some faith in humanity.
brenda, those Bandlettes look like a great idea. I'm going to try them.
Connie, looks like I'm off to B&N!
I already walked 5020 steps today! I think that's my record for any day not including airports.
Ran my 5k. The "chocolate at the finish line" was disappointing (a mini energy bar) and the line was long for champagne, but my time was okay (for me, especially considering I haven't really trained as such). It was just a much bigger event than I am used to - something over 1000 entrants just in the 5k, and there was also a 10k and half-marathon. If I do it again I'll know what to expect, I guess.
Then I cam home, face timed with Mom and Dad separately because Dad is off gallivanting with the Geezers (they all got matching t-shirts, it's pretty cute), and napped for a couple of hours.
Trying to convince myself to do something that is not napping now. It's an uphill battle.
Those half-tees look intriguing, but I'm more likely to wear the tank-top version around the house on its own. On the other hand, I can do the same thing with a sports bra, but the neighbors would probably be less annoyed by something that's more obviously outerwear if I stepped outside.
Oldest son has been accepted to bro a 30 day program. But he also has a court date for July for a dui. Either way, I'm glad that he'll be gone for a bit and I can actually visit my family without issues.
Good Lord, Talons of Weng Chang is a 3-disc set. Look at all the yummy extras from the BBC.
Oh yes, that one got a special edition, they're well worth it. (Plus, I appreciated the special on the Chinese population in 19th century London; the only real black mark on Talons is the racism. The extra doesn't change that, but by providing the depth lacking in the adventure, it does obliquely acknowledge it.) There are superb extras on some of the classic adventure releases. (Some of the extras on The Ark in Space are hilarious. One of which relates to the production of Talons, as it happens.)
I love Ace so much. I know people diss Happiness Patrol, but I love the use of music in it. I love Sylvester McCoy's Doctor and his love of music (another wonderful part of Silver Nemesis).
I thought the Seventh Doctor was excellent, especially paired with Ace. The Happiness Patrol is one of my favourites. It's all very pantomime in style, but surprisingly sharp underneath. It feels very similar to Paradise Towers from the previous season, but I think it works much better.

I like the father/daughter vibe as opposed to the sort-of-romantic vibe. Unless Captain Jack is involved.
Youngest nephew rode a bike without training wheels for the first time, convinced to try after grandpa had him help fix the tire that had a blowout( they had to take the training wheels off to do so.) Go, grandpa-fu! My parents have enjoyed the first few days of their near month with the boys. Love.
Oh, that's great!
Have not accomplished anything today. I am okay with that. I am even okay with that setting the tone for the week.
My nephew got his learner's permit. He's driving! Meep!
Well, mr. flea just literally carried Dillo down the street to get him to go to camp, where we are sending him despite keeping Casper home, because she's still sick (though on the upswing.) He sat around watching videos all weekend and much of Thursday and Friday too; he needs physical activity and contact with other people; we did the right thing in making him go. But I feel beaten down. Need to shake it off because I have a ton to do today.
