Heh. My couch is now cleaner than it's been since I got cats, but also still not clean. (I'm chucking one of the side pillows as too ragged and stained to use any longer. Whenever I buy new ones, they will have plastic-y synthetic covers that I can clean by shaking.)
They are clearly winning the war to mess up the floors faster than I can clean them.
Yay for cleaning! Still haven't gotten to the bathroom cabinets.
Because I had to come share THIS:

So awesome. Also might be good for Good Stuff?
I've been cleaning, and working, and am now looking at the pool, which is clearly calling my name. It is in full sun at the moment though and I haven't a clue where my sunscreen might be located because so many things are packed. I'm pretty sure it isn't here. But pool. Sigh. I don't have my car either because it went to NY with Bobby. The weather shows no promise for clouds any time soon. And it is 91. Maybe I'll just jump in and go back inside after a lap.
Anyway. I listed my house for sale yesterday officially. I put together a website, which is not as nice as I would like, but I have to keep reminding myself that the people looking are house buyers, not computer people. Only so many hours in the day to work on it. Two of my doctor customers have recently moved to my neighborhood. One just a couple blocks away, not exactly sure where the other one is. She just moved in. I am going to have DH talk to them tomorrow. I figure since they are both new to the area (moved out of Boca Raton in both cases), they may have friends visiting that also want to move. Seems the thing to do in the young professional set these days is to move out of Boca and into Delray Beach.
If anyone wants to take a look and let me know if I have something grammatically horrendous or just plain stupid please let me know. [link] The photographer is going to come back because he took the shots in the morning and the house faces West. He'll come back and get some nice sunset shots and do the exterior in better light. Didn't want to wait any longer.
DH did a huge amount of the work himself. The wood floors, the kitchen cabinets, so much more. It has been a very lengthy project.
I'm getting ready to caravan out with some friends to celebrate our tragic hair metal pasts: we're going to see Motley Crue (on the supposedly last ever tour for them), with Alice Cooper as the opening act!
Laura the site looks great and I would like to buy your house, aside from not wanting to live in FL and not having the money, but that is just gorgeous.
The house not only tippled in value since I bought it, but a few years ago I sold the back lot for more than I paid for the place total. I had no idea this area would become so popular. Gotta strike while the iron is hot, and of course pay back all the loans I had to take to get it in this shape to sell.
I'll stay in Florida, but 20 miles south of here in either Fort Lauderdale or Pompano Beach.
Now that the place is listed I'll likely leave for Otter Lake in the next couple days. Renting a car. So Much To Do.
Good job people improving their habitats!
Good luck with selling the house, Laura!
Have fun storming the concerts, Jill!
Put in another 20 minutes weeding. It's seriously getting warm, so I don't think I will do more until evening and I may be kidding myself that that's a real possibility, but that's okay because the green waste bin is almost full anyway. If I can put in a half hour to an hour each evening after work this week I think I might actually to get it to look like I want fairly soon.
Ha! My kitchen faucet came apart in my hands but I figured out how to fix it. Supergenius!
I went to Target this morning and now I'm on my way to a birthday party at a beercade.
