I got up, walked the cat, walked to the farmers market (tomato season has started--yay!), took out the compost and the trash, and started laundry. It's now well over 90F, hence my early burst of energy. I'm done with outside chores and fun until 6:30 or so.

Sigh. So I was supposed to have a massage today but My rmt didn't want to do it when I have an infection.
And a friend emailed me about tentative lunch plans this AM but then I never heard from her again.
One of those crossed wires days
Accomplished so far: made breakfast, currently eating it. I'd hoped to get up earlier, so I could meet a friend to run before it was too hot out (and by "too hot" i mean 72. This is why I love Seattle). But I didn't, so no go (she has another appointment in a bit). Trying to decide the appropriate order of things, now--I want to do a tiny bit of shopping/errands, and run, and wanted to buy new running shoes, but that's not urgent, but the store is up near the place I was going to run, but...I don't want to run too late, but if I want to do anything after running I have to go home and shower first, because I sweat like mad.
...all of this against my current hormonal/pain induced desire to sit on the couch all day (I am SO JEALOUS of hammock-havers!). I have drinks plans at 8, which I'm hoping will be fun.
Uh. I've made an omelet and two cups of coffee?
I need to drop off some clothes at the donation place and then get some groceries. I suppose I should do that now before it gets hot. That means I should put on outside pants.
I've had breakfast and watched more Parks and Rec, and now I need to get ready for our friends' wedding up in Dayton. The invitation specified "cocktail attire," which makes me think this is going to be swanky as hell. Guess that means I have to leave my 7-year-old flippie-floppies at home and wear real shoes.
Timelies all!
Sitting in the main room, waiting for the Guests of Honor(a German duo called Summer and Fall) to start their concert.
I always assume cheese is fine unless it is actively growing mold. And then if the moldy part can be cut off I assume the rest is fine.
I feel like taking a nap. Maybe I'll just go ahead and do that? I don't think there's a reason not to...
Actually, can I wear strappy sandals and no stockings to a "cocktail attire" wedding? Or are stockings a must? It's this dress: [link]
Stockings are only a must for figure skating.
I was going to say stockings are never a must, but brenda is actually right.
I don't think "cocktail attire" means especially swanky, but my swank-o-meter may be calibrated differently from yours. Anyway, that dress looks great.
