You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

In MA it's the RMV, but I still end up calling it the DMV because that it is what I grew up with in RI.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay. Connie! I recommend a visit to the Santa Monica Pier. Depending exactly where in Venice you're staying (and your fitness level), it may be walking distance.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

MVA in Md.

Although I call it the DMV because that's what I grew up with!

It took me forever to call it the MVA in MD. In PA, we all refer to it as PennDOT. Even though that division is known as the Bureau of Motor Vehicles--Driver and Vehicle Services, it's just easier to say PennDOT.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am at a point where I have some discretion as to which of my projects to work on. My current feeling is that they all suck and I don't wanna.

ETA Maybe I will spend some time picking out songs to request for when I am back in testing tomorrow.

Connie, one of the great things about walking along Venice Beach is you never know what kind of craziness you'll run across.

I was there in 1999, when I was on a business trip to the Huntington Museum (glorious place). I remember the drum circle with the legless dwarf dancing in the middle of them. I look forward to the new weird.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I tried working, but it was both difficult and boring.

Trying to pick out music was stressing me out so I am back to working.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Work is super-slow right now (a nice change), and Pete is away at a M:tG event for a week. So far today I've had some tea, Greek yogurt and honey, a chocolate chip cookie, and am currently drinking delicious SUPER STRONG coffee.

Lunch is probably going to be guac and chips. I AM TOTALLY AN ADULT CAPABLE OF LOOKING AFTER MYSELF.
