Amazing, meara!
I also need a hammock.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Amazing, meara!
I also need a hammock.
Jesus, everyone on my friendslist is an asshole today. WTF? An old college friend called Allen West, whose politics are pretty repugnant, a house nigger. I flipped the fuck out on him. I don't care HOW awful Allen's stances are, that was absolutely beyond the pale. WTFF???
I was really, really shocked to see this. And upset, pissed and skeeved out.
Sounds like a former friend to me....
The mere thought of skydiving is terrifying, and yet somehow attractive. I never thought about the wind making it hard to breathe!
Hammocks are great. Especially with little birds.
Does hair dye expire? I've had this hair dye for a long time, probably a year or more, but I don't see an expiry date on the box anywhere.
Yeah, Jesse, I'm thinking...
Has the dye been stored in a coolish place? I'd say go ahead with it, unless you notice any ominous changes in the dye.
Dye has been stored in a bathroom that's never used for showering, so it's probably fine, then. I'm planning on trying henna, but I want a regular dye on hand if the results are not good!
I need to get an Adirondack stool.
So...this interview I have on Monday? I need to bring a laptop because I will be creating a Word and a PPT document as part of it.
This is the first time in a long time I've had a legal copy of office on my laptop, which happens to be a Mac. I've never heard of an interview where you bring your own hardware and software, but a year ago, I wouldn't even know where to start with a PPT clone.
Yeah, needing to bring your own seems odd. But good luck!
Got maybe a quarter to a third of my front yard weeded? One huge bunch of grass, I don't know what kind it is but I don't like it and even mowed down it looks awful, so that's a triumph. Too hot and sticky to do more of that now, I hope it will cool off enough in the evening to make more progress (front yard faces East).
I think the hot part of the day will be all about popsicles, TV, and paperbacks.
I think all of Grace's stuff should be paid for except a $50 copay. I'm not sure if it's $50 copay to each entity or overall. And because of the nursing issue/medi-cal issue we had Grace has already reached her deductible so.... maybe not?
Anyhow, -t, no worries about bringing it up.
meara, how awesome! I still can't imagine jumping out of a plane.
I just got back from Wal-Mart because all of our coolers broke on this last trip and we need a six-can one for Grace's food. The Stanley coolers are amazing, but really really expensive. I want one, but WAY expensive.
Kat, I'm so glad most of that is covered. (Insert here standard rant about why don't we have universal health care.)
meara, I'm almost jealous except I don't think I could jump out of a plane. OTOH, my climbing partner teaches paragliding and has invited me to go with her sometime. I'm thinking about it...
So I went running this morning, and discovered that today is basically Yard Sale Day in my neighborhood. I was tempted by a solid ash bureau, but it's smaller than I need and $150 to boot. So I won't.
So far I have run; done a load of laundry and hung it to dry; started another load; stripped the bed; walked the dogs; done the dishes; cooked bacon/kale/egg for breakfast.
Now I have to do some yard work before it gets hot, and then go to the household hazardous waste drop-off site to dump a bunch of batteries, lightbulbs, and paint cans. And then the grocery store & library.
My day off is not relaxing!
