Thanks, folks. Would you believe my co-workers all signed a sympathy card for me? (Not my Nemesis, of course.)

Oh, I'm so sorry, Conseula.
Ouch, Ginger, don't do that!
Congratulations, shrift!
And thanks, Calli. I claim not one whit of credit. It's all due to the landscaper-florist neighbor repaying H for his volunteer handyman duties around her house, and H himself for finding his green thumb. His motto of course, is always "Overbuild!" so it's good he has hobbies.

It may be that I'm worn out from a too-long workday, but the titles of the activity cards I'm prepping for the printer seem to be getting more sinister as I go on. For example, "The Hungry Puppet" and "Here Are My Eyes" sound like they should be horror stories.
I'm sorry, Consuela.
I'm sorry, Consuela.
I'm sorry about TNG, Consuela.
I am so sorry, Consuela.
Peace to your household, Consuela.

I'm well-rested and they sound like horror stories.
I'm so sorry, Consuela
Family drama continues apace. FiL is at the VA and they've looked at everything and changed the dressing and are scheduling an appointment for Monday morning with a hand surgeon. DH is still stressed out and worried but it all seems much more sanguine than it did last night.
My FiL is still stubborn and pigheaded, not unlike his son, so he's making it as hard as possible on everyone trying to help him out, but oh well. That's kind of a good sign in a way.
Franny is still sporting a fever, which has us and the doctors a bit worried at this point. She's on antibiotics now so let's hope they help, but frankly she seems no better than she did this morning.
