Nurse helpline will call me back in an hour. Dont know if I need to call 911
Typo, is there a 24 hr pharmacy like Walgreens that you can call? I'm more worried about the BP meds than the Metfomin. With the Metformin, the maximum recommended dose per day is 2500mg according to Daniel, so you only got a little bit more than that. If he had made that mistake, he'd a modest amount of extra carbs and test the blood glucose a few extra times.
How soon after taking the regular evening doses did you take the extra ones?
You could also try calling a local emergency room - if it is slow enough, they might be able to answer a "Do I need to come in, I did this....?" question.
4 hours. Ia called poison control. They said I should be fine. On a one time basis only symptoms should be a little wooziness and possibly nausau. Should metabolize by morning. I will stay up and take exra carbs if needed. I am going to keep poison contrrol center odn fridge. nurse hotline for cheap healthcare can;t handle this sort of thing and has no access to doctors or pharacists.
I'm glad you got hold of someone with more actual knowledge than I. You've certainly made me thankful for my Blue Cross ask-a-nurse line. They've always been very helpful.
The nurses themselvesw are great. The problem is that , unlike normal nurse help lines, no access to doctors or pharmacists. Norma nurse helplines can consult with MDs or pharmas if something is beyond normal competence.
Typo, let us know you're OK!
I just argued with the same relative on FB. I really need to just either stop following him (and miss seeing pictures of his cute kids) or walk on by. But he was using a flawed study - it took like 5 seconds of googling to find out. Of course most of the sources citing it are conservative and I found the rebuttal on a LGBT site so who knows if he'll think it's worth reading.
And someone else commented about "the bipolars, full personalty disorers and partial personality disorders" I couldn't figure out if she was talking about the mental illnesses or the people so I had to comment on that. PLUS she threw out God doesn't make mistakes line which I had to point out can be really damaging to hear. Hearing that and "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" were big factors in driving me away from religion. Well that and the terrible way the churches I was raised in treated women and anyone who wasn't like them.
