If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh jeez.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yay glasses! Being able to see is better than having bedbugs.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay glasses! Go away, bedbugs!

I am having an angry day. Therefore, I am having a cookie. A huge, walnut chocolate-chip oatmeal cookie. It doesn't make me less angry at the world, but it makes me a little happier inside myself. Specifically, my stomach. My stomach is happy.

Our wings are not tired.

Having glasses or having cookies, both better than having bedbugs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That batch of cookies was very small, and I'm being irrational and snarfing the whole thing in 24 hours WITHOUT SHAME. With bravado.

hip deep in pie

Hilarious, ita.

Not so hilarious are bedbugs.

I don't know what I would do with glasses since I can't hold onto a pair of sunglasses for more than a month or two.

Our wings are not tired.

That is awesome, ita! Love the bedheads on both too.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Blood sugar hit 43 again. This time, knowing that low blood sugar is not the time to make decisions I had a plan in placed. Used glucose tablets plus orange juice with sugar dissolved in it raise blood sugar, followed by cold cereal with soy milk to keep blood sugar up. Did not need ER this time. As Fay used to say "still not dead". And I lowered my insulin dose last night - and the lower insulin dose worked fine. It is good that insulin resistance keeps dropping, but not so good that it is such a fucking step function - dropping a great deal without warning rather than gradually. Come to think of it, I did have a couple of days last week where my evening blood sugar was low enough that I skipped an insulin does. From now on maybe I should take any days where I can skip insulin as a warning sign to lower my dose by 4 units once I need insulin again.

Yay, you, for dropping the insulin!
