Thanks, Tep. That’s actually a huge relief to hear. It’s just so unusual for Kaylee that I’ve been worried. They did give her a shot of Pepcid as well as the anti-vomiting meds last night, so I hope that helps.
Our vet reminded us, "How hungry are you when you're throwing up? Maybe sometimes you are, but a lot of the time you probably aren't, because everything is so unsettled down there." Which is a fair point.
Poor Kato. That’s not a fun career for any species.
I would say "poor Kato," too, except half the time he brings it on himself, cheerfully eating grass like he discovered a hidden can of Pringles or something. "Hey, this grass is great! I'm going to eat some more! ...wait, now I don't feel so good..." Dogs, man.
Zoe has done the vomit and no appetite thing too. It freaks me out because normally she eats like she hasn't eaten in days. So ignoring food is very upsetting. And yet for no apparent reason it passes. Not fun.
I have never had consistent enough coverage to consider losing the land line. Sometimes it's brilliant, sometimes not. I'm not willing to take the risk of the power cuts either. I just like knowing it's there. Plus I call internationally, and my cell hasn't caught up with those charges.

I always just used an ACE bandage, but that might have been because we always had them on hand, since my brother and I were prone to jackassery (and the resulting injury).
Also elevate the ankle and ice it.
Ankle sprains are No Fun. Ice and elevation, as Steph says, are best. Also, ACE bandages are better than sleeve-type braces because you can adjust pressure as needed.

I had frankly not thought about it (I'm bad for accepting you're blue-and-pink striped unquestioningly, and moving on), and told him to decide what he thought and go with that. Plus ibuprofen or something similar. The ankle I tweaked climbing a volcano finally started feeling better once I kept a brace on and took ibuprofen regularly.
