Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm inflating my lungs right now AIFG!

Same.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

As much as I love animals I am kinda over my pets at the moment. So needy all the time.

Right there with you.

Yikes! Glad to hear Tim is doing better, Steph.

So the rescue people said Miss Hazel is 11, but I was looking through the vet records they sent along, and they say she is 13! She is awfully spry for an old lady, but it kind of makes me wonder how long we'll actually have.

My cousins' cat Sunshine lived to be 23, so you never know.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

meara ahoy:

Glad to hear Tim's doing well, hope he's home soon. I vote for napping at the hospital. They usually have a couch or reclining chair in the room for such cases.

Sending ~ma your way, Sparky, to disburse to family as needed. Be sure to keep some for yourself too.

IME vets can get the age wrong. When we brought in Folly the first time they transcribed her age wrong, I can no longer remember if they added a year or subtracted it. And as for how long you'll have, well that can never be predicted anyway so you might as well enjoy the time you have with her.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Inflate. Deflate. Inflate. It's all good.

Jadzia is 16 and I keep forgetting because she doesn't show it at all. I'm sure at some point I'll need to change where I feed them (Pixie is 14 so while I still think of her as "the young one" compared to Jadzia she is also getting up there) or how they get into the house because they won't want to jump up so high, but not so far.

In other cat news, last night Jackson ran across the room when I called his name and lay down on the floor by my chair to be petted for a good long time while I was watching iZombie. It's almost as if he realizes he's a pet and not a furry parasite dedicated to destroying all the inanimate objects in my apartment!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have to laugh. I've got a headache that hasn't gone away for 2 days now (not a migraine; just a tension headache that feels like a too-tight headband). It occurred to me that maybe the headache was from high blood pressure (this happened many years ago; I had headaches that wouldn't go away, and the day after I started BP meds, they were gone).

I didn't really think it was a good time to have a stroke, so I took my blood pressure, and it (as well as my pulse) is the lowest it's been in at least a year and probably longer (114/74, pulse of 72, which is "low" for me).

BODY WHAT ARE YOU DOING I DON'T EVEN.

Oh yeah, it was the records from the time (or close to it -- I don't think they go all the way back, but back to when she was 2 or something) saying she was 13 -- the recent vet estimated 11.

And as for how long you'll have, well that can never be predicted anyway so you might as well enjoy the time you have with her.

Of course!
