Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Inflate. Deflate. Inflate. It's all good.

Jadzia is 16 and I keep forgetting because she doesn't show it at all. I'm sure at some point I'll need to change where I feed them (Pixie is 14 so while I still think of her as "the young one" compared to Jadzia she is also getting up there) or how they get into the house because they won't want to jump up so high, but not so far.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

In other cat news, last night Jackson ran across the room when I called his name and lay down on the floor by my chair to be petted for a good long time while I was watching iZombie. It's almost as if he realizes he's a pet and not a furry parasite dedicated to destroying all the inanimate objects in my apartment!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have to laugh. I've got a headache that hasn't gone away for 2 days now (not a migraine; just a tension headache that feels like a too-tight headband). It occurred to me that maybe the headache was from high blood pressure (this happened many years ago; I had headaches that wouldn't go away, and the day after I started BP meds, they were gone).

I didn't really think it was a good time to have a stroke, so I took my blood pressure, and it (as well as my pulse) is the lowest it's been in at least a year and probably longer (114/74, pulse of 72, which is "low" for me).

BODY WHAT ARE YOU DOING I DON'T EVEN.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

IME vets can get the age wrong.

Oh yeah, it was the records from the time (or close to it -- I don't think they go all the way back, but back to when she was 2 or something) saying she was 13 -- the recent vet estimated 11.

And as for how long you'll have, well that can never be predicted anyway so you might as well enjoy the time you have with her.

Of course!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The cats my ex grew up with lived to 20 and 21. For the last two years, they slept most of the time, so it was sort of like having cat pillows that occasionally relocated themselves. At Christmas, however, they would arouse themselves to go slowly over to the Christmas tree and whack one ornament.

You'd think that sometime during the decades that glue has been sold, someone would have figured out a top that doesn't glue itself shut. Come to think of it, the glue companies don't have much incentive, since their customers are driven to buy more glue when they can no longer get the glue out of the bottle.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Gracie was 22, and it was only in the last year or so that it was at all apparent.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So true Ginger. Glue bottles are like mascara bottles. You always have to toss it before it's empty.

Yeah, see, I always hear about these 20 year old cats, but when Homer was dying the vet said 15 was about average.
