Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Good lord, Steph! I hope things get considerably less exciting from here on out. Lung~ma to Tim.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Oh Steph! I saw on FB but I'm so sorry that you both had to go through all of that stress. I hope things go much more calmly from here on out.

Our wings are not tired.

OMGWTF collapsed lung?! Just because?

Kudos to Tim for knowing it's time to go to the doctor, and kudos to Steph for not freaking out when the ER turned into an episode of E.R.

What Zen said! How freaky and upsetting all round. Having been around a few collapsed lungs it is something that apparently lets you know clearly that something is seriously amiss. I hope the fix is boring and uneventful, and quick.

Word! Hooray for sensible men!

And, of course, all the kudos for spouses of men in the ER.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Whoa, Steph. That is crazy! Many healing thoughts toward you both. And sorry about the additional trauma involved. Also, eff that dude who told you to sit down and "calm down" (i.e., shut up).

I just got to go back and see him, but they were about to jab the tube in, and wouldn't let me watch even though I asked. Boo.

Yeah, they wouldn't let us watch my dad get intubated. My sister was annoyed by that, I was merely relieved.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

~ma for Tim, and hugs for you, Teppy.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Steph, sorry for all the trauma. Sending more Tim~ma and hoping for a comfortable and quick recovery.

My son asked for a play date and I said yes. Currently regretting my choice, which means next time around he'll be regretting his. :-/

I look more rad than Lutheranism

kudos to Steph for not freaking out when the ER turned into an episode of E.R.

Oh, I freaked out. When I was finally allowed back, Tim asked me (swear to god) "Did you Hulk out?"

The official medical term for Tim's collapsed lung is "spontaneous pneumothorax," which is metal as HELL.

information libertarian

My father (the doctor) said it is surprisingly not uncommon. (When I emailed him to say, WTF? I, for one, expect lungs to function, absent any disease or trauma, not just go on strike for no reason.)
