That is a mess, Sophia. I hope that some workable resolution is reached.
Pix, any update this morning on the pups?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ooh, that does sound like the Perfect Glasses Solution, Beverly! I am holding my breath on needing bifocals, but so far, so good.
I need new glasses. I'm down to the one pair.
I am awash in anxiety and I NEED to get over it and get to work. Ugh. My poor kids, I wish they didn't have to be near me when I'm like this. I'm in the other room in the hopes of keeping it away from them.
For now, taking things one item at a time: laundry to dryer, new load in washer, up to Liz's, then home to make lunch and take the kids (by bus) to the dentist.
That's a little harsh for kicking around a lighter. But glad he's doing well.
Heh. I didn't even scold either of them over the disposal mishap (they both know they're not supposed to be up on the countertop, and steer clear when I'm present), but Jackson did manage to speed up the timetable of his surgery considerably via a newly-acquired hobby of peeing on the furniture.
I'm sorry I've been grey for a bit.
Pix, I hope the puppies are OK.
Tom, I'm sorry it's been a rough few days.
ION, D got an interview offer at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA. Any PA people know anything about the work environs, or like bennies or salary? Neither of us are remotely interested in gambling, but from what I understand, resort or hotel employees get really good deals on hotels in other cities?
Strix, I've heard no complaints about working for any of the casinos in PA. Front of the house may be very different than back of the house though. And it's not just a casino, it's a concert venue. I've been there once or twice for a show. And yes, you will get really good deals on other properties owned by the same company. Employee rates are ridiculously cheap.
So I'll be doing a fuckton of cleaning and decluttering to make the house show ready and staged? They said they'd prefer to show it if we were out of here but we just kind of laughed at them.
I don't think they mean that they want you permanently out of the house. Standard procedure is to leave when a showing is scheduled, then come back after a pre-determined time frame.
If there's any scoping of apartments or houses that needs to happen, please let me know. I'd be happy to host you in August, but I'm 90 miles west of Philly and 90 miles southwest of Bethlehem. It might be too far out of your way.
I haven't had a landline for a while now.
I have 3 sets of glasses and I also wear contacts. I try to keep my glasses in the same place, because otherwise I'm stumbling around blind when I take out my contact lenses. I think I'm less concerned about losing the glasses than I am with forgetting to bring them with me on trips. Which I totally have done.
Sophia, that sounds like it could make things tense.
Speaking of cat shenanigans, the kittens were on a roll last night. They knocked down a poster and shattered two bowls filled with water. They pulled window blinds out of their anchor, which crashed down into their food bowls. Those bowls were metal, so the food just went everywhere.
They also have learned how to headbutt humans when one has picked them up and is trying to remove them from a danger zone of shattered crockery.
I am SO GLAD that I did not end up putting my hat in the ring for the new job, and then my friend would have thought I was his subordinate and I would have thought I was a higher level! I didn't end up applying because I realized that I would be reporting to the not so great manager AND would be totally stuck between the faculty, my friend, and this manager!
Ick, Sophia. That sounds complicated.
Kaylee has no appetite this morning. She won’t even eat chicken and rice. I’m back on hold with the vet. No word on the puppy.
