And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Oh, Sparky, I totally understand, and I'm so sorry.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm sorry, Sparky, I totally understand. Hope you locate the dog's people soon.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Sparky. But I'm glad the stray dog found good people to help him out.

Steph, I'm glad you were able to get some sleep without it messing up the rest of your day too badly.

Today got into the 90s, with high humidity and lots of sun. There are about three more months of that in my future, and I walk a mile every day, from the parking lot to the office and back. So, does anyone have any suggestions on where I could order a parasol that blocks uv rays, please? I like my walk--it goes through a lovely garden for about 1/4 of it, and the university campus is rather pretty. But the orb is sapping my enjoyment, my vital fluids, and (by mid-July at the latest) my will to move.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Zen, I hear you and have been there and am glad to have come out of it for now. FTR, I think it is depression, if not the worst kind people have.

Oh, Sparky, that must be hard.

I showered and went to Trader Joe's, but not the movie. That's enough of a day, I guess.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Huh. Today's informal meeting turned out to be more like an interview than I was expecting it to be. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm glad that I managed to rally and speak coherently.

I hope I can talk with an old manager tomorrow to get his advice on both Mountain View roles, since I don't have a manager right now who's spent any time working with me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Sparky, I'm so sorry, that must hurt.

Parasols are great, Calli! I got mine at the Pirate Festival, I don't know where to get them generally, but I endorse their use for walking in the sun for sure.

I feel like I have a lot left undone today. But I am going home anyway.

Calli, my mother buys shirts and stuff from these people. They have parasols, though they're not stylish. [link]

As Hubby always said, it doesn't seem like our species really evolved to live on this planet.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm so sorry, Sparky. Be gentle with yourself.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have not been able to put on pajamas yet because Comcast is supposed to come before 8. This means at 8:01, I get to be very sullen.
