Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Abby Ale sounds like it would be a better chaser for pot roast and wine than an IPA would be.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

It probably would have been, but for some reason I went for the IPA. I was disappointed. I cheered myself up by having another of the pudding cakes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Fingers crossed for your daughter tomorrow, Sparky. I hope you feel better too, Kat.

We went to the museum today with our visiting cousins. It was really nice although I am aching for some down time. But art and Persian food is a pretty dang good combination.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I was amused to read in the weather forecast that Wednesday would be "not so warm"- high 79. Ah, summer.

They pay me in WOIMS

I bought my old 37″ flatscreen TV 9 years ago. The picture was getting all splotchy on it, so it was time to get a new one. My new 40″ cost a third of what I paid for the old one, and weighs half as much, and is, of course, bigger.

It doesn’t fit on my TV stand.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It has definitely not summer in Boston yet, and I am so hot today! Better than cold, I guess.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

A bird flew in the cat door on the window in the back room and couldn't find it's way out again. Fortunately the cats did not notice the commotion before I did. Safely back outside.

Btw, a good time was eventually had by all yesterday! Saw some randoms I haven't seen in 20 years, including one who lives in Boston but I will probably never see again. Now having brunch.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I bought my old 37″ flatscreen TV 9 years ago. The picture was getting all splotchy on it, so it was time to get a new one.

My 20 year old tube TV still works perfectly well. The main drawback is that any text on the screen is obviously presuming a much larger screen.

I slept for 10 hours Friday night and still took a 2 hour nap yesterday afternoon. I guess I needed to catch up.

That's cool, Jesse! I assume you also eventually found your friend?

I don't hurt much this morning yet, but I'm a little bit afraid to get out of bed and put weight on my limbs. So, greetings from my phone. Hunger will eventually drive me to get up.
