listing items is taking so long. but, on the up side, I have found several more kitchen items to list and a few more to get rid of.
The idea with doing this is that unlike eBay, I will not have to resist after so many days and do the process over and over if they do not sell. Also I have 4 years before I am really gonna have to downsize (current plan anyway), so this allows me to just add to the site as I go through more and clarify what I no longer want.
Ah, I don't really need another credit card. I have 3 major ones already, two with points/rewards, which is why I use them for larger purchases that I pay off right away so I don't pay interest, but get lovely rewards.
ms_belle, I admire your strategy for getting rid of clutter and make money off of it. I tend to make a huge pile throughout the year and then bag it all up in December to donate to Goodwill and then claim it on my taxes.
ION, I now have Meyer Lemon Pudding Cakes in the oven. Having the oven and the crockpot going has heated this place up too much, I succumbed and turned the air conditioning on. It's 79 out and usually I can survive that, but not today.
Mmm, that sounds delicious.
A friend gave me the gnome eating dragon a few months ago. I adore it. It sits on the trunk on my front porch.
this is my stuff, I am still adding, but decided I should eat since I skipped lunch.

What makes that first one a refrigerator dish? I probably end up using it as a candy dish. It's what I used my compote dish for, for years, until it broke.
that is just what I have always seen and heard them called. what leftovers were stored in before tupperware and the like.
I can see that. I know my grandmother had some depression glass, but I never really paid attention to it. I wish I had, now! I had a few pieces over the years, but I haven't taken very good care of it. Somewhere, I've got a pickle jar that hasn't been unpacked. I used to keep my cotton balls for taking off make-up/nail polish in it.
I have several pink pieces. If I find anymore green, I'll be selling it also. My goal is to decrease my kitchen holdings over the next 4 years by at least a third. A lot of that will be straight to the thrift stores, but I do have a lot of vintage stuff.
I have been putting off decluttering in the bedroom, both from the endless memories and the lack of distraction in there as I work. The radio isn't sufficient, I need something with a storyline I can put my mind into. So I went and bought myself a portable DVD player, which I've been thinking of doing for a while. I found one that also takes USB and SD cards, so I've also got a way to play all the BBC documentaries I've been downloading off You Tube.
It's much much lighter than a laptop and so much easier to work with, and when it's running off an SD card I can pick it up while it's playing and shift it around without messing anything up.
I think I might even get rid of the second laptop I've had on my desk, because I was primarily using it as a DVD and video player, and this takes up much less space. I know young people who would be delighted to have a decent laptop--once I make sure I've pulled all the porn off of it.
