I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Go meara go!

I slept late and didn't want to run, but then I did. Except I downloaded the new version of Zombies Run to use, and it crashed at the end of the run and I lost the data.

I'm amazed at how annoyed I am at losing "credit" for the run.

Two coworkers left this week, which leaves me as the single female environmental professional in the western US for my employer. One of them has worked for my boss for 8 years, and when he stopped by to say good-bye, he didn't even shake her hand! He's so BAD at human. Also he started a card for her and then lost it and then left early and didn't make any effort to give her any recognition. So D ran out and got a cake and I found the card and the cash with it and bought her a Lowe's card, and we gave her a little good-bye ceremony. So at least she knows someone will miss her, even if not the guy she worked for for a decade.

I told this story to my sister, and she's all, "And you WANT this job?" Sigh.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh, sparky. I hope she feels better soon, in any case.

After spending less than planned at Home depot and more than planned at the expensive nursery, I have enough plants, but I am still under budget for the lawn redoing project, so now I am on Amazon. Someone should maybe tell me no

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh good grief, Lee, now I'm looking at buying gargoyles. As if I don't have enough gargoyles already.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I love that gnome eating dragon muchly. It would look great on my balcony.

IOmeN, I have been way too productive today. I threw a rump roast in the crockpot, did the dishes, swiffered the kitchen floor, swept cobwebs off my walls and ceilings, so far. Who knows what else I'll get up to before I call it quits. Lee reminded me I need to finish filling up my flower pots on the balcony. I've got a lone dahlia sitting in one of my larger round pots; it needs companion flowers/ornamentals.

eta: Fuck it, I bought the dino. I really need to curb my spending; even small sums start to add up. Having a roommate who pays rent is going to my head.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, I might need that dragon.

OK, I have done my research on the internets and identified some dishwashers at the Sears Outlet which might work. Off to spend money!

Man, I love living in the future: I now have a Consumer Reports app on my phone...

I think I may buy the dragon too. Also the cat.

It's hot and muggy out. I've a horrid suspicion my swim will be stormed out, no matter when I head over. But still going to shower hair product out (haircut today or I would've swum earlier.) Which can't happen here, have to let the lye sit 8 hrs. Really hope it works.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

go de-cluttering.

I am doing the same here. I am biting the bullet and taking the steps to open an etsy shop to sell off vintage housewares and clothing. I have well over 30 things I could list today, but with taking pictures, measurements, weights and whatnot (steaming out the clothes, getting them on the dress form), I am hoping to get 10 things up. We shall see. In the meantime, just in moving things while cleaning, I have a bag for thrift store and a second bag for bookstore.
