We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Calli, I'm so sorry, that sucks horribly. I hope you can get it straightened out. And I wonder how they do it--just call the IRS and use your SSN to change the address?

So the neighbor who got home-invaded is moving out: saw the moving truck this morning. I wonder who will move in: the rental market is climbing so fast that we may well get some tech types.

Spent much of yesterday with Dad, but didn't get much done. I'm trying to track down an IRS tax refund from 2012 that he never received, but I cannot seem to get through to anyone there. And I can only make the call when I'm with him so he can confirm that I'm speaking for him, and that means only on my day off. So annoying.

Got a nice long run in the hills this morning. Longest run since before my surgery, and while the last mile was a bit wobbly, I finished ok and only had to walk a couple of times. Go me.

Now I really need to do stuff around the house and go to the store, but I just want to lounge...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have obtained beet hummus. Now I just need to figure out what to eat it on.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Y'all.

Doing "just a little work" this morning was such the wrong decision. I should know better. Kinda stuck with it now, though.

Pool's closed and don't have time to drive to Towson and get my swim in. Crap. I guess I'll finish cleaning.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I did get to the market today, but I didn't get to TJ's. So, no beet hummus for me yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm never going to get to TJ's. It's so close, but so far away! I'll be across the street later, but going to the movies.

I did, however, get the first pedicure of the season, crossing my fingers that the staff actually gets paid.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wow, that sucks, aurelia. I'm lucky that my part of Rogers Park is usually pretty quiet.

And I just realized that I forgot to get milk, which I have been going through quite a lot of lately. Shopping fail.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

So I popped up my calendar to enter the times and they were already there. Gmail read my email and put them on the calender. Which was sort of both nice and creepy.

Beware! This is how I missed my flight home from Portland. Google put it in "local" (Central) time. This was fine for flying out to the west coast, not so much when we were flying home. I thought my flight was 2 hours later than it was.

So always double check that shit.

And now I'm stuck in the middle of my living room waiting for the floors to dry so I can go take a shower & start laundry...
