Silly me was very confused when you started talking about Mountain View vs Dublin because there is a Dublin across the bay from Mountain View. Then...ahh, not that Dublin.
This is me every time shrift has mentioned Dublin.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

There is also a Dublin, OH. There's a large national library organization headquartered there. But I am pretty sure it is not a lovely city. (I think it is in the suburbs of Columbus.)
I vote for Dublin because how often do you get the chance?? And I'm sure there's Dublin-Chicago flights--it's gotta be only a couple hours more th a flying from San Francisco surely?
(Note: my Zebra Footage folder is pretty much just CEvans pictures. I find them soothing.)
I feel the same way about capybara pictures. No, seriously. I find them soothing. I follow Daily Capybara on Instagram because their little faces are so chill.
Jesus, Juliebird. I hope he can get taken care of somehow.
If it'll just give me the data and withold judgement, I'd be all over it, actually. The description of what it does doesn't include anything about alarms or whatever.
Yeah, after looking at the article, I'm pretty sure it's the headline writer who can suck it.
I vote for Dublin because how often do you get the chance??
In the abstract, I feel this way, but in real life, I would never do it.
Home again, home again, jiggety-jig!
I vote for Dublin because how often do you get the chance??
Agree! FWIW, Dublin was the first place I visited outside Australia that I could see myself moving to. (Oh, and I found very good food in Dublin. Not Irish food, but there was, fifteen years ago, no shortage of other dining options. But I don't eat sushi, so couldn't comment on that one.)
I would move to Dublin in a heartbeat. But then again, I just applied for a job in Warsaw, which I know nothing about. That may be more of a barometer on how I feel about my job than how I feel about Warsaw, though.
I think Sparky could suggest things In Warsaw?
I would totally move to Dublin for a couple years, if it were a good reason. Though probably not for permanent. The only issue would be whether to sell or rent my house.
Though I think it's super expensive to live in Dublin? Or did it crash? It may still not compare to Silicon Valley though.
From what I read on blogs, rents and mortgages are on the rise again in Dublin.
