Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ease, Suzi. Betterment to you.

And you too, Theo.

Yay, hooky, Tom. I hope it's restorative.

Oh, that dinner plate needs to be killed with fire.

Best of luck, shrift.

And yay baby, Juliana and M! I can now burble at will! I'm really glad you're feeling better.

A bit of trivia I just found out from reading Caroll Spinney's AMA: he was invited to go on the 10th Space Shuttle Challenger mission and had accepted, but the Big Bird puppet was too large to take on the shuttle.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

interview guy wants me to make a decision about location (Mountain View vs. Dublin) before I follow up with him again.

I think that is encouraging. YAY

Am I allowed to vote for MV?

Am I allowed to vote for MV?

Sure!

Pros: I have people in the Bay Area, I wouldn't have to move out of the country and deal with visas/banking/taxes/retirement, shorter & less expensive flights to visit family, sushi.

Cons: COST OF LIVING JESUS CHRIST, terrible traffic.

Of course, I also still need someone to offer me a job.

Is there not sushi in Dublin? Would it be a many-year move, or something for just a few years? Don't forgrt, everyone there will get additional attractiveness points for accents...

I need to visit Dublin, because it's difficult to make a good decision when you have not been to a place. I need a visa to work there, so probably 2 years at least, with a max of 3-5 years depending on the type of visa.
