The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

At least it mostly worked for 3 days?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am tired, so I am focusing on a more frivolous topic; for my 43rd birthday in August, I want to get my 5th tattoo. My nickname is "Captain" among my good friends, and I want to get it either on myleft wrist -- I have the Latin "eligere" -- to choose, to decide-- on the right, or on my back between my two shoulderblad tats.

I was thinking the Buffy font, but I don't know -- I don't think it looks right. [link]

Any font suggestions? I've got time to play around with it, but I like to mull a tat over for a good while before I go for it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

17 murders since the Natl Guard called in. Yeah, they're protecting all the tourist shit.

Yeah, I was looking at a map that showed where there had be reports of violence or looting, and I noticed there was a perimeter around the Inner Harbor area, where everything just stopped.

Well, there's often a perimeter around there.

I haven't seen a cop in my hood in a couple weeks. I usually see one at least hanging out at the Y a few times a week.

I'm on a fb fight. I have a wedding. I'm over it.

I just spilled a much needed drink on the carpet.

My hair is dyed, I will swim at (fuck me) 9am.

My city in flux.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thanks, folks.

I admit that I'm looking at her, and she's having trouble getting around, but she's still just herself, and I dunno. I may cancel the appointment. I don't want to deprive her of any good life.

good luck, Consuela. That's so hard.

Seattle is a little ridiculous with the May Day stuff. Anarchists and obnoxiousness, but also overblown drama--helicopters from news circling all day (and still circling, I can hear them!). Though at one point I saw (on TV, though it was only a few blocks from my house) cops lined up in the street each holding a bike as sort of a shield, and walking forward (to try to move the protestors) by having a line of bikes across the street (like, the bikes were perpendicular to the direction they were walking--they weren't on bikes or next to them walking them). It was so weird.
