My nickname is "Captain" among my good friends, and I want to get it either on myleft wrist -- I have the Latin "eligere" -- to choose, to decide-- on the right, or on my back between my two shoulderblad tats.

Seattle is a little ridiculous with the May Day stuff. Anarchists and obnoxiousness, but also overblown drama--helicopters from news circling all day (and still circling, I can hear them!). Though at one point I saw (on TV, though it was only a few blocks from my house) cops lined up in the street each holding a bike as sort of a shield, and walking forward (to try to move the protestors) by having a line of bikes across the street (like, the bikes were perpendicular to the direction they were walking--they weren't on bikes or next to them walking them). It was so weird.
