Argh. I dropped off my dry cleaning last week and they told me it would be ready this past Monday. now, it's possible that I might have picked it up on Monday if I hadn't been stuck at the pharmacy for freaking ever, but that didn't happen. Yesterday I forgot about it entirely. I remembered this morning and set a reminder on my phone, both for the time I am supposed to leave work and with the trigger of leaving my work location. For some reason, my phone kept triggering the "leaving work" final all day, so I was constantly shutting off the reminder. And then I forgot to go get my dry-cleaning on the way home. I was even on that side of time for an unrelated reason and completely spaced.
I am a piece of work, is what I'm saying.
Has Suzi moved her kitchen yet? I have a feeling she has access to whiskey...
But Suzi, however will you stay hydrated?! I'm worried about your lack of glassware.
Shot glass. Oh, and my huge tea cup. So...tea in the shot glass, whiskey in the tea cup?
Sounds about right, Suzi.
Jess, I love that house, only based on the outside! ETA I looked at the other pictures, and I love it more.
Man, somehow I actually pulled my work day out of a tail spin of Do Not Want and got some shit done. Was it all the shit I needed to do? No,it was not. Nor do I care. I am going to buy some vinho verde and Not Care all night.
Speaking whiskey, we had our wine tasting last Friday and it was sold out and hugely popular amongst the neighbors (although I'm still worried about the couple that brought their baby in the carriage and then left the carriage (covered up, so I couldn't tell if the baby was still inside) abandoned for the better of an hour in a corner of the house.
So now we're planning a whiskey tasting, and I can see that ending rather very quickly with many inebriated adults. I joked at our first successful wine tasting that we ought to change our mission to "engage, enrich, and inebriate" and it seems to be a successful source of income as well as a great friend-raiser! Alcohol and adults, who knew?
It's further from the train & downtown area than we'd like, but it's within easy walking distance of an adorable cafe, and OMG so much space!! Corner lot! Level yard! That TUB! A *breakfast room*.
It remains to be seen what "tasteful updates" really means - I'm all about historical details but I'm also all about plugging in lots of electronics. (I'm also not really loving the idea of one full bathroom for all four of us. But if the bathroom is really as big as the pictures make it look...)
Oh my goodness, that is a super pretty house. It has many details I adore. And a great address.
