It's further from the train & downtown area than we'd like, but it's within easy walking distance of an adorable cafe, and OMG so much space!! Corner lot! Level yard! That TUB! A *breakfast room*.

It remains to be seen what "tasteful updates" really means - I'm all about historical details but I'm also all about plugging in lots of electronics. (I'm also not really loving the idea of one full bathroom for all four of us. But if the bathroom is really as big as the pictures make it look...)

How did we get to the point that so many people are convinced that the federal government is planning to declare martial law, confiscate the 300 million plus guns in this country, impose Sharia law and dump toxic chemicals on us?

I hate to admit it, but I think there's a not-small minority of the population who are currently armed to the teeth and itching to start a civil war so they can kill all the judgmental assholes out there (like me) who think they are reactionary nutjobs. Which, for the record, makes me paranoid too.
