Thanks sj! I have lots of friends in Baltimore from living in DC, and thankfully all but one or two are posting...well, "awesome" isn't the right word, because it's still shitty, but at least it's things I want to support?
If I hear one more thing about people on Everest, I might scream.
Oh man, glad someone else is with me. I mean, yes, sucks for them, but does it suck more than for regular people in the street? Rather doubt it.
Steph - I have a cat who sneezes bloody mucous all over - she has an inoperable tumor in her nose. She's old and doesn't get around much, so I've just put towels down over her favorite places and wash them regularly. When she's gone I'm getting rid of the beds in the cat room which have become rather gross, but then I've been planning to do that anyway.
I'm glad to read that a humidifier helps Folly. I may need to try that with Lily.
Getting Lily to eat is also an issue - sometimes I think she can't smell the food through the blockage and the blood. At this stage I'm sticking to smelly food (salmon smells stronger than tuna, at least to me) and warming it up in the microwave to make it small even stronger. Sometimes that helps.
Good luck!
I mean, yes, sucks for them, but does it suck more than for regular people in the street? Rather doubt it.
Particularly since they either paid or were paid to do something that they knew might kill them.
The Y is also taking donations to send kids to summer camp: ymaryland.org
3 day conference.
Best wishes for the sick kitties.
Poor sickly kitties. Get better! Stop worrying your bipeds!
Dammmit, Jilli, I wish I'd known you were in KS. I could have returned your corset and given you some MAC eye powder. And brought you a delicious cupcake and hugged you.
I completely spaced on emailing you, because the run-up to this con was ridiculous thanks to the day job. But! It looks like I'll be there next year, so we can maybe plan a little bit better.
I was gone for three business days. THREE. Why is my inbox a nightmare?
I know this pain. I am looking through this pain right now.
My BFF's difficult child got suspended from school for a week. For hitting a classmate. She's seventeen, for heaven's sake. She's FB messenging me asking me what to do. "Go back in time and NOT hit anyone" apparently wasn't helpful.
I'm listening to Tim giving directions to someone on the phone, and he's NOT GIVING THE NAME OF THE STREET. What the shit, husband? "It's past the record store...at the corner where you turn to get to our house."
Is it SO HARD to say the name of the street???
I am perhaps a little anxiety-ridden today. I would take an ativan, but then I would fall asleep and not be able to finish my work, which is, ironically, an article about serotonin's role in social anxiety. (I am not making this up. When my boss assigned me the article, I laughed and laughed. She doesn't know about my anxiety, so it's totally random. And/or the universe laughing at me.)
