Just a quick Folly update: she appears to be in the Resting Comfortably stage of dying. I do not anticipate her rallying, but she also seems very peaceful and I think taking her to the vet would cause more distress than letting her pass here.
The vet did give an explanation for the blood in her stomach. He had given her some aspirin to treat her heart.
Aw, that's hard, Burrell.
Aww, Folly and Burrell.
Because of sumi's post about World Tapir Day-- how do you say tapir? tuh-PEER? TAY-per?
I hope she stays comfortable, Burrell. Staying home seems pretty good, considering.
I've always said tapir just like taper.
What -t says: that's how I say it too.
Watching The Good Wife while I run some reports.
Goddammit Carey!
So the person who's working on my mother's insurance was supposed to call at 10, but got caught up in some drama and didn't call until 12:30. Then she said she had an appointment to talk to someone else, but would call back in an hour. Has she called back? No. Do I have things to do away from the telephone? Yep.
I survived Kansas! Mostly by not leaving the convention hotel.
The con was a lot of fun, and again, one of the best organized AND laid-back conventions I've ever been to. Everyone was happy to see me, and I sold a fair amount of stuff without turning around and promptly spending my profits. Plus, the best Iron Man, War Machine, and STAN LEE cosplays I've ever seen: [link]
Apparently the real Stan Lee has met them, and asked the cosplay "Stan Lee" if he'd be willing to sub for the real man at some panels, so he could sneak off and wander conventions.
