I knew I'd reached middle age when I realized I and my friends discussed our health issues with interest.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I didn't watch the dinner, but thanks to Natter, I have mow watched the Luther part.
Holy shit that was great.
My relatives talk about their bowels on, like the slightest provocation. It's like their fandom. Which I think is awful.
Right there with you. Dad, I appreciate you keeping me informed about your health, but unless you need me to drive you to the hospital I can do without the bathroom updates.
My local library had an arts & crafts fair today with lots of vendors, a band, and RenFaire types going around in costume teaching kids how to swordfight and such. Made for a very pleasant afternoon.
Well, tonight's adventure was a pole-dancing class!
I do not have the arm/shoulder/core strength for pole dancing. I could do the sexy walking just fine, but everything else was awkward and ow-filled. Gonna check how much the intro sessions are though, I think it might be good for me. But I think it's expensive.
Timelies all!
I guess I should be glad that their bathroom habits aren't part of the medical woes my folks frequently discuss. (Their woes and those of other people- it's one of the standard topics of conversation in Florida I guess)
I am doing the most minor things I somehow haven't been able to manage recently -- activating new credit cards, looking into getting a MA license. I'm thinking I'll go to the RMV (aka DMV) in the afternoon, because EVERYONE says get there when it opens. Does that seem crazy? I figure there are the people who go first thing, and the people who go over lunch, so midafternoon might not be too bad. (I can't get an appointment.)
You never know. I just always expect to wait, even with an appointment, but sometimes I am pleasantly surprised.
Yeah, I guess the actual answer is "you never know."
I love my brother enough to iron my clothes for his graduation. I seriously can't remember the last time I ironed anything.
This is why I buy all my shirts in rayon. In the dryer for 15 minutes = ironing.
