Have Health Faired. My systolic blood pressure has gone up since last year, but diastolic (that's the bottom one, right?), blood sugar, and total cholesterol all went down.
No idea what to with that information, it's not like I have been consistently trying to do anything in particular. But I always like to have data.

Well, I got two reports done. One I had planned to do tomorrow, and did instead of one of the ones that was due today. Because that one is for an awful place and will require SO much documentation. ...still not a good reason, but at least it got done (tomorrow, many teleconferences, expenses, and the hard report plus one more easy one)
I experienced racism in horticulture today. A woman visiting from South Africa informed me that the Clivia in the greenhouse had a derogatory common name more offensive than the N word. It's the Kaffir Lily.
Yeah, once we get the new engraver running, that'll bd the first label to change.
Avocados are not available by the case this week. Woes.
I need to go get some avocados.
Good thing! The last time I had to go up to SF for work I put the wrong stall number in when I paid for parking, so I got a ticket, but I had managed to save my receipt, and appealed the ticket, pleading my own stupid, and they dismissed the ticket!

Vindication of pack rat habits!
A year or so ago I wanted to re-read a fic I'd written, one of my better ones, 10 to 15 years old. So I searched my drives. And my disks. And my drives again. And all the disks, including the ones I knew it wouldn't be on.
And it was gone, another victim to bad data management. I swore a lot, wept a small tear, sighed and shrugged.
Tonight I was going through some old piles of CDs, old program install files and such. I found a backup CD from 2001 and was about to add it to the Toss pile when I thought "Wait. Maybe?"
And there it is. The original folders of all my fics and the file I gave up for lost a year ago. Don't get rid of backups until you've absolutely confirmed all files are saved!
