We didn't do anything on 4/20 when I was in Madison. We just had the Marijuana Harvest Festival. where you could buy pot brownies from the co-op that was sponsoring the fest.
(The brownies were terrible, as they were made from carob instead of chocolate.)
Wow, so close!
I don't remember when I first heard 420, but it was longer than 15 years ago. It was not a thing when I was in college. Popularized early 90s, I'd say. I think all the explanations for where it came from have been debunked.
I still can't talk. Didn't make lunch today. People at work go to lunch without telling me therefore also not asking if they can get me (or other guy still here) anything. I wrote him a note asking him to get me a smoothie when they get back since I CANNOT SPEAK and he therefore cannot go until they are back, because phones.
No talking is depressing. At least for me.
Hearing office visitor just talk and talk and talk about a million things we do not need to hear about is annoying.
Hearing office visitor just talk and talk and talk about a million things we do not need to hear about is annoying.
Especially when you can't even tell him to shut up.
Carob brownies just seem like a cruel joke.
I remember when those students told me about it, they were shocked that I would even ask them to work on 4/20!
Your students are strange creatures.
I just agreed to go to a Cubs game in May. It's free and I don't think I've ever been to a Cubs game, so I figure it's time.
I've been to a Cubs game. It was fun.
I care nothing about baseball, but a Friday afternoon out of the office? SIGN ME UP.
Wrigley Field is a lot of fun. If you don't care for baseball, your fellow fans also provide a lot of entertainment. Especially after a few beers.
I've been to a Cubs game. Good times!
Also, I gave my notice today!!!! Last day here is 5/6.
