Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Jilli, you either can politely ask that a friend use tags, or you can try installing XKit. Which I haven't done yet, but surely someone here has. (I do want to install it, I just need to find a block of time to sit down and figure out all the extension options.)

There's a "Limit People" option: Some people on your dashboard posting a lot? Limit people limits how many consecutive posts by the same person appear on your dashboard at once. If a user makes more than 2 consecutive posts, the rest will be hidden until you click on a button to show them.
Or you can do what shrift said. XKit has like a thousand different extensions.
Oooh, XKit has a "Limit People" option? I didn't know about that one. Perfect, I'll use that.
(I love XKit so much. SO MUCH. I've already got the tag for my friend's particular fandom on my blacklist, but she doesn't tag things very often.)
(Someday I will listen to all of Night Vale. But right now I don't have time, and am kinda burnt out on WtNV fan art.)
shrift,
I currently am wondering how many times I can explain a thing to a person before I tell the person that we must agree to disagree, and by that I mean it's not my fault that this person is unable and/or unwilling to grasp the concept that I am explaining. You don't have to like it, person, but you will have to live with it.
do you work with me? This is my life.
(Rant Redacted)
Ugh.
A lot of the symptoms of narcolepsy track with what people report in abduction stories.
My cousin, who is a science professor, sometimes emails me grammar questions about papers she's grading or writing herself. She sent me one today with the subject line "Colon!" And I was a little hesitant to open it, because she's a microbiologist and often shares links about fecal transplant with me.
(It was legit about punctuation. Whew.)
Timelies all!
We also still have the DVD option for Netflix. In fact we use it much more than the streaming part.(A lot of stuff we want to see isn't available on streaming.)
Us too.
(also I am the tech "brains":--how sad is that?
Okay, I guess my pie in the sky ambitions for this weekend are to: 1) install XKit, and b) dust my entire bedroom, including under the bed and in the closet and inside the computer tower. I am looking at dust reduction tips on the internets, so this probably will involve some decluttering.
do you work with me? This is my life.
Ha ha. Ha?
Them: "But I disagree with this decision so it shouldn't apply to me!"
Me: "I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation. Please note that within the context of our working relationship, I am The Man."
I don't understand how it's happened that my Tumblr dash is slim on fandoms I'm actually into, and chock-full of one I don't care about. I wish my Tumblr friends would tag their fan posts. But then, I often post without tagging, so I'm guilty too. I don't post much fanart though. If I could just block posts about one particular fandom, I'd be happy. I don't hate it, I just want to stem the tide.
