Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I loves me some Mike Birbiglia. He has one of my favorite comic bits ever: [link]

Not dreams--hallucination. If you see a man in your room is he in 20/40 like your unassisted vision or is he properly in focus?

Out of focus. And usually the act of grabbing for my glasses makes that particular style of sleep hallucination vanish. And because I'm a witchy-woo sort, I generally cleanse the house and redo wards the next day. It makes me feel better.

Pete can drop off to sleep instantly, and has never experienced the sleep-dep hallucinations. I am very envious of this.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

BTW, I haven't had any visual hallucinations today. As of yet, Jesus must be manifesting in someone else's leftover pizza.

I just did a grown-up thing and looked at my credit report. Yay, nothing unexpected! And having the Target card that I don't use for months on end has been a good thing, I've had that for nearly ten years. I got overdue on it in 2008, and that's still showing up, but I guess I look like a good credit risk. According to Capital One, my credit score is 650, which is apparently average.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My hypnagogic dreams, when they rarely occur, are usually about falling or tripping, and then I wake up with a full body jerk. They seem more likely to occur if I've actually fallen the day before, like my brain is replaying the incident.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

If you see a man in your room is he in 20/40 like your unassisted vision or is he properly in focus?

Same as Jilli. Although I don't do the cleanse, but I wish there was something that would make me feel better so maybe I'll try burning some sage or something.

I wake up not in my bed, terrified but not able to remember why. Often in the hallway or standing by the light switch with a general sense of "must get away" from I don't know what. Once convinced that if DH touched me I would die. And another time sure that if I turned on the lamp on my nightstand I would be flooded with radioactivity. When I was a kid I fell off the ladder to the top bunk where I slept, woke up after I hit the floor.

My dad gets up and does stuff while he is dreaming, too. Usually doesn't remember the dreams. Mom just tries to stay out of his way and wait it out. I think there's been less of that since he got the breathing thingy, I should ask.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I currently am wondering how many times I can explain a thing to a person before I tell the person that we must agree to disagree, and by that I mean it's not my fault that this person is unable and/or unwilling to grasp the concept that I am explaining. You don't have to like it, person, but you will have to live with it.

21st century fandom problems: Is there a polite way to ask a friend to start using tags on their Tumblr posts? (It's not any of you folks.) It's not for any triggering or phobia issues, I've just hit the point where I can tell when she's online, because my dash becomes non-stop fan art reblogs for her favorite fandom. I don't want to unfollow her, but I may have to.

It's a good thing I don't care about spoilers anymore, too.

Wait, does this mean I've achieved the Bitter Old Fandom Queen level?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I feel so unproductive today, waah! I don't really have time to take an uscheduled day off, but all I've done so far is laundry.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Jilli, you could use XKit or the like to block her posts. Which I assume is what you're going for with the tags, but just in case you weren't aware you could also block on username.
