Suzi, you can set up the lock changing ahead of time (er, it didn't occur to me until my realtor told me. I was similarly scattered.) I met them at the house immediately after taking possession. Actually, they were waiting for me. Similarly, utilities, most at least.

Adult thing: Yesterday, I noticed that this year's car registration required a smog check, so I got it done this morning, even though the registration isn't due until mid-May. (the online system is down, so I can't pay the registration tonight, but still)
