The windows of my office building are being washed. There are a lot of windows, and the building has weird angles and overhangs. I hope they're charging extra.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sure they are charging an appropriate amount. The window washers of my acquaintance had that stuff down cold.

I hope you are resting and healing, shrift.

The vast majority of stuff on my To Do List remains To Do rather than Done, but I have kept myself fed and have made food for a few meals into the future and my kitchen is not an overwhelming mess. I need to confirm that I have enough clean clothes to get through the week, but I think that I do. Couple more days to get my taxes filed. It's all good.

I'm at that point of inactivity where I know I would have more energy if I got regular exercise but the thought of trying to add exercise to my routine makes me tired. I'll need to just push through that at some point, I guess, but not today.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Got our taxes done; my fear that I grossly underestimated the quarterly freelance taxes was almost totally unfounded; I ended up owing the Feds $95 over and above what I already paid them throughout 2014. So I feel pretty good about that.

But now I have a headache from a combination of taxes + allergies, and want to go to bed.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I know I would have more energy if I added more sleep to my routine.

Oh, yeah. Exercise I apparently can make time for, but I'm so bad at getting enough sleep unless it's the weekend.

I hope you are resting and healing, shrift.

I put on my pajamas and took some drugs. I'm kinda feeling better, but clearly I hit a wall after a couple of hours of light to medium activity, so I'm thinking about calling in sick to work tomorrow. Just reschedule all my meetings and turn off my alarm.

That sounds like the right move.

Sleep is good, I'm all for sleep. Harder to say "okay, I'm sleeping starting now" and make it happen, though.

Totes. The medication started wearing off while I was watching an episode of Jane the Virgin, so I went ahead and requested the sick time, blocked off my calendar, and set my out of office message.

Congrats on finishing your taxes, Steph. And Dana, congrats on finally convincing your husband to agree to hire an accountant to do your taxes.

Other things happening on April 15th: I'm starting a statistics class and the Blackhawks play their first playoffs game.

I am so bad about taking time off from work when I'm sick. Because it's so easy to just load up on cold meds and power through the day and crash later.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Stats: the only class getting my M.Ed that was actually challenging, and I fucking hated it. But I got a B+.

Of course, girls can math. I'm sure it made me a better person or something. But I hated every damn second of that intense summer grad level course.

Oh, god, Stats. That course made people change majors in my school. I never understood what we were doing to the numbers, but with rounding up, I got an A. (And I gloated to my then boyfriend about it, too, cause he'd been flaunting his A as well).
