The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I overdid it today, and am already getting sore. I should have stuck to tv.

On plan for today: shower, clean upstairs, laundry, hardware store, swim. After coffee and empanadas.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm working on coffee. Then maybe a plan.

I don't know why I think I can eat smoked salmon without getting assaulted by the cats.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Plan for today:

Buy more cotton-burr compost/mulch

Buy two more boxwoods

Remove nasty, half-dead spirea

Plant boxwoods

Punishingly Intricate

Just did yoga and now gearing up for a shortish (just over 20 miles) but hard ride. Food planning for the week and trying to not be too stressed out about work.

Have coffeed, hooray! May have lost the lid to my coffee grinder (the grinder part comes off and the bottom can be used for storage with the matching lid). Turns out a regular-mouth mason jar lid will work, but the one that came with it looks much nicer, so i hope it turns up.

Speaking of mason jars - sarameg how are you making those lights? I have some extra jars and could use more solar lighting options.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I've found some borage seeds, so today will involve planting those. I also need to do some grocery shopping (and buying allergy meds--pollen is drifting like yellow snow around here). Otherwise I'll probably spend the rest of the day poking at the Wordpress multisite network I installed on an old netbook. A job I applied for uses it, and if I get called into an interview it would be good to know something about it.

I take those < $1 solar garden lights (you know, the ones in the garden section at wherever. Like these [link] ) and disassemble them down to just the panel/light component. I cut out "lids" from a heavy duty plastic- in this case,a placemat. Then cut out an opening in those same size as the solar panel. This part is the biggest pita. Glue the light into that, pop into screw top and onto jar. Latest effort, I used a hot glue gun.
