Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My mom has had at least one stroke that she didn't notice. She was getting some tests done, and the readings all said that she'd had a stroke about a year earlier, and she had no idea when it had happened.

Isn't that nuts? Heart attacks and strokes seem like things you should definitely notice. Sneaky as hell, man.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Speaking of fries, I had three glorious forkfuls of garlic mashed with parm and cottage cheese yesterday. Living on the edge, ITYW. I've done pretty well with the potatoes-tomatoes-ban on my diet. I make H get fries maybe three times a year, so I can steal four or five, and that's my annual potato cheat. But I'd been *jonesing* for garlic mashed for several days--to the point of dreaming about them. So he made some for dinner, and I womanfully stopped at three bites. But, man, did I luxuriate in those mouthfuls!

All best thoughts for Dad of Tep, Kato, and also Darby's fellow puppies.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Does the brontosaurus thing mean we get Pluto back next?

Also, truffle fries are always the correct choice.

I texted to ask if he got truffle fries, and he replied "Not yet."

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

we get Pluto back next?

I hope not. I'm on Team Tyson, all the way.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

In mememe news, the movers were slated to be here between 10 and 2. It's 12:50 pm, and I WANT TO GET MOVED.

I mean, if you have to move on your freaking anniversary, let's get this shit out of the way, yo.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

In more Suzi's new house likes carrots - cable companies are annoying. I have to enter the new address to see what services are available there, but since I don't own the home yet and the seller hasn't cancelled her services yet, I can't actually get in to see anything. If I look at my current address, the offers are skewed because the apartment community has a special deal with Comcast. Built into our rent is basic cable services, so I currently pay a very nominal amount for more channels.

I tried to chat with a representative and it was all script responses. I'm close to going off cable completely, but I haven't been able to make that jump yet.

No celebrating, Laura, except maybe a shower. We are far too broke. But just getting this mostly DONE will be happy-making.
