No celebrating, Laura, except maybe a shower. We are far too broke. But just getting this mostly DONE will be happy-making.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I've been jealous and sullen that other people on my team are taking different internal jobs, so I'm cruising around internal job postings again.
I briefly checked LinkedIn earlier and someone contacted me there about an external job in Chicago for pretty much what I used to do in my last role. I don't know if I even want to do that again, but I'm wondering if I should apply for the hell of it to see what salary they're offering.
You can afford a happy dance, Strix! Once the movers do their thing.
I support applying for the hell of it, shrift. You can always bail out at a later point if you want to for any reason.
Hubby's first heart attack was probably at a gaming convention in Vegas. He said he felt sweaty and sick, then a woman grabbed him and shoved him in a chair. "I am a cardiac nurse. You're having a heart attack."
That's what happened to my dad (except he was at work, not at a gaming convention) when he ended up getting his first bypass (which was originally supposed to be an angioplasty, I think, or the thing with the balloons, whatever that's called, but turned into a triple bypass once they got a good look at what was going on in there). He takes those symptoms pretty seriously, now, although he did walk around with chest pains and pain in his left arm for a FEW WEEKS recently. Didn't mention that to me until after his stent when he was talking about how much better he felt.
Dads.

We have the same Dad, apparently. Or they got the same handbook.
Yup yup yup.
Like my dad telling totally offhandedly that he'd had *another* stroke. Another??
ETA: Although the classic was this summer when my sister and I learned that he had been RUN OVER BY HIS OWN TRUCK a few days earlier, as an aside in a story about how he had renewed the AAA membership.
they got the same handbook
"Health Guidelines for Stoic Guys, or, What to do when Duct Tape Won't Stop the Bleeding."
Followed up by: "Why are These People Yelling at Me, or, Random Strangers Are Calling an Ambulance, How Can I get Out of Going to the Hospital?"
I am thinking about enchiladas again this weekend, but I'd like to try the variant where you lay out the tortillas in layers with the filling in between. However, I can't find where that was talked about. Can someone remind me?

Yeah, he totally wins.

Was that in this thread?
I thought so, but the search isn't bringing up anything like that when I search enchiladas or tortillas.
