I had been pretty good about productivity today until I talked with my loan officer about the house and now I'm all kinds of distracted. Too much to do...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Did I mention here that the problems with my car insurance have been fixed? It took the application of a year's worth of money in advance, but I'm covered again... and forgetting to pay in a month or two won't happen. looks on the bright side until her eyes start to tear up

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yep. Peter is my dad's second cousin, and now that he's living in New York, one of his BFFs.

Awwwwwwww!!!!!

I remember you thanking me once for standing up for Singer and his logical consistency, which is how I discovered you were related. Glad your Dad's got a cousin buddy BFF now!

Oh Theo. Glad it has been fixed.

I have gathered all the info on my loan officer's list. Wooot!!!

Also got a call from Nanita's cousin - she is the one who referred me to my current loan officer - checking up on how things were going and making sure things were going well with her referral. To which I responded with an enthusiastic YES.

Well, that's behind you at least, Theo.

Oh, man, I seem to have lost my knife and fork. I hope I didn't throw them away. Maybe I brought them home yesterday...

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I gave my family a tour. We had lunch. That is now over and done!

I have zero desire to do any work. I have a meeting with my manager in a couple of minutes, and after that I have to figure out how to bribe myself into getting things done.

OMG. I asked a question on Monday via e-mail, and the person I asked was out until today, but I decided the answer could wait until she got back. So she got back and answered my qiuestion this morning, and apologized for the delay. I thanked her and assured her that I had gotten her OOO office message so I expected the delay, no biggie. I just got another e-mail from someone else in the department apologizing for not jumping on the request in the first person's absence and reminding me that I can always call. It wasn't urgent people, how many times do I have to reassure you!

Not responding to this one, is what I'm saying, as I feel like we are in danger of an endless loop.

Tour, lunch and bribes, woohoo!

Man, over half my little cubicle neighborhood is empty today. No wonder I am talking to myself.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Go productive people!

I had an interview for a job today. It went reasonably well. It's not on the top of my dream job list as far as pending applications, go (interesting work, but drastically underpaid), but it's charm was dramatically enhanced through actually calling me in for an interview. I should hear in a week or two.
