I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

FINALLY got some breakfast burritos made and into the freezer. So that's a relief.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Careful shrift, you don't want others to see you as the go-to person during a crisis or everyone will start bringing theirs to you.

hip deep in pie

Ugh, just discovered that dehumidifier in the basement was overflowing and seeping into carpet from underneath. The carpet didn't look wet but there's about 10-15 square feet that's soaked.

On the bright side, there's a dehumidifier handy... (Actually I have two.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mmm. Plundering the freezer, salmon in teryaki sauce. Perhaps healthier if I'd had anything else for dinner, but what can you do with your appetite?

Salmon in teriyaki sauce sounds delicious. I'm making chicken with coconut rice and spicy peanut sauce. I'm betting one kid will like the sauce and find the rice icky, and the other will like the rice and reject the sauce. Oh well, their loss.

Frozen banana and strawberry (soy)milkshake for dinner. It's hot and this way I'll have enough spinach for salad for the rest of the week. And my appetite is still shot, so drinkable is better.

Technically working from home tomorrow- with a lot of interruptions. I think there are about 3 things that if I can knock off, I can declare it productive enough. Hell, maybe I'll do my IT security training (I may have already. I don't recall and no one can tell me....)

Meters in the morning, followed by garage look-see, then vet appt later. Plus 2 phone calls I need to make. And maybe chat up comcast.

Salmon in teriyaki sauce is a lot healthier than what I had for dinner (I drove by Checkers on my way from the airport, and we don't have them in Seattle, so I had a cheeseburger and their yummy spiced fries and some sweet tea...)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It's so dang hot here that we had egg salad for dinner. And let me shill for my egg salad modification: put an avocado in the mix. SO GOOD. My ratio was 4 eggs and 1 avocado, plus some mayo and mustard. I smooshed about 1/3 to 1/2 of the avocado, which cut down on how much mayo I used, and left the rest diced. Again, let me say: SO GOOD.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Nothing sounds good. I'm so tired of feeling bad.

This will only mean something to people who lived in the Midwest during a certain era, but I discovered on Jeopardy tonight that P.E.O. finally revealed what those damn initials stand for. I tried for years to get that out of members.
