Maybe leave in grok and take out dick? But I don't know your audience.
Good point, I should probably remove the colloquialisms and up the business fluff factor.

Plenty of time, Burrell!
You say that, but I am already behind! Ack!
Well, bless a duck. Just got my rental renewal notice. They want to jack up my rate by $220/month. Over the past 7 years I've NEVER had that much of a leap in rent.
Underlines why I'm buying the townhouse. (still no word on the appraisal). From the estimates from my loan officer - mortgage, insurance, taxes, and HOA come to less than $100 more than I'm paying now. Then there are the non-monitary pros of owning my own place. I can paint. I can change anything around that I want. I will live in a neighborhood where neighbors know eachother. I will have a back yard. I won't avoid inviting people over.
Everytime I have the OMG am I doing the right thing, I think of those things above. I think of not worrying year after year over what I'll need to pay. I think of having buffistas visit.
Except I'm sure that I went yarn shopping and had tacos on the way home. That's the right answer no matter how it went, yes?
Absolutely! And good luck.
You can do it, Burrell!
Have we already made fun of the NY Times "Unplugging Without FOMO" article?
Is that the new "I don't even own a television"?

-t, that's exactly what I was going to say, word for word.
Hey! Bay Area peeps! I'm trying to plan for our knock-wood-will-happen vacation in July, and while plane tickets are cheap, I'm stymied by lodging.
Where would you guys recommend? I swear, it's more expensive to go to SF than it is to Hawaii...
waves pompoms go Burrell go

May good reasons there, but this is my favorite.
Plei, when we went to SF, instead of a hotel we rented an apartment through VRBO, which was fantastic and much more affordable (any hotels that were in the VRBO price range were either murder hotels [really, one review on Yelp said "blood on carpet!"] or by the airport).
This is where we stayed, which would work for you guys, b/c there's a pull-out bed in addition to the bedroom. (Also a hot tub and a bidet.) And it's close to the Zmayhemi: [link]

Tep's suggestion is good. We also recommend the Carl Hotel, where many Buffistas have stayed. It's cheap and clean and no fancy biz, and within a couple blocks of our house.
Tep, sadly, that's not available during our block. Woe! (This is why I am checking things now, natch.)
