I'm going to go and try to fix the living room ceiling fan -- I have the part, I have the knowledge, and of course, the ladder. If no one sees me in an hour or two, send a search party....

Playing catch up - msbelle, you asked whether anyone has an Etsy store a while back. If no one's answered already, I don't have one, but my BFF does. Is there some info I can attempt to get for you?
Timelies all!
It's starting to look/feel like spring. The hyacinths are out.

Are they tucking charming little notes in empty milk bottles? Is their last name pronounced Boo-kay?

I have many daffodils and trees with leaves around me.
The fan was only a partial success, in that the part I got at Home Depot isn't quite the same as the one that's actually IN the fan. At least I was able to get the lights wired back up so that they work again, and maybe if I bring the switchy thing with an extra thing on it for comparison, I'll be able to figure out if it is possible to replace it.
I swear to god, the most difficult part of this was the ladder, especially getting it up and down the cellar stairs by myself. Not to mention several trips up and down to identify the actual breaker that turns off the living room lights. (It's the one marked "Kitchen".)
