The funniest library book I never found was "Practical Magic"--Guess it disappeared!

I drop the cayenne in basically everything. Partly because toddler, but wife is also a weakling, and you can always add hot sauce or spice at the table.
Cumin, on the other hand, I use what the recipe calls for and sometimes more That is a vital flavor for texican food.
I love paprika and cumin. Mmm.
I am sad I did not clean up at the Zappos outlet yesterday, but my sister totally did (Frye boots for $50? Tsubo heels for $10?). We were in Louisville and I was very tempted to keep driving and head to Nashville and meet yall!
Timelies all!
Much grocery shopping today, both the regular weekly run and a Passover run at the local kosher supermarket.
We're driving up to Ossining today to look at two potential houses. I'm very mixed about it - on the one hand, the Hudson valley is gorgeous and we'll be able to afford a lot more space. On the other hand, moving to the suburbs feels kind of like admitting defeat. But on the other other hand, Brooklyn has betrayed us by getting so dang expensive! And the houses both look gorgeous on paper.
Aww, meara you were so close!
Tsubo heels for $10?
Wow, meara, that's some sale.
The party was fun, and it's just as well I didn't bring my pie, as at least two desserts were supplied by a woman who's a professional cook. During the party, she whipped cream by hand and then piped it onto a tangerine tart. Using one of those fancy little piping nozzles & a plastic bag. I was impressed.
And now I'm a bit hungover and I need to do some work, walk the dog, install a garage door opener timer, grocery shop, mount some pictures, scrub the kitchen floor, change my sheets, and make family dinner (probably coq au vin, which I only make when my sister's away because she hates mushrooms). Argh.
I ubered the hell out of Boston today -- actually, mostly Cambridge and Somerville (some days have unexpected Themes, where luck of the draw keeps taking me places again and again, or else I'm on a Magical Mystery Tour of the outer reaches of Boston or the North Shore or whatever).
My next trick will be to try replacing the actuator switch inside the living room ceiling fan, I found a replacement part at Home Depot yesterday, and it would SEEM to be a simple substitution once I get the unit open.

Really like living in the suburbs. All I hear all day is goddamn bird song and it's awesome. NYC is all about making you feel you failed, even if you still live there.
I did not know there was a connection between the eye socket and the mouth, but gah, these eyedrops taste terrible.
