Hah--I'm awaiting the Georgetown game (It was supposed to start just before 7PM here, now they're saying "in 30 minutes"!!) The game before them just finished--I almost feel bad for "Stephen F Austin", whoever they are, who came REALLY close to beating Utah. But can't root for the underdog in Eastern Washington v Georgetown....the Hoyas tend to lose sadly and earlier than they should, in the tourney...

Remember how I said my aunt wants to bring her kids to Chicago to do a tour of my office? Ha ha, well, I took too long to respond to her email so now things are getting really passive-aggressive now.

I'm friends with her in fb, but the thing is, she always used a pet name for him at work, never his actual name and mostly used fb for family and work, including her ex in laws, so was circumspect. But she's posting pix of a clearly single dad on vacations to places I know she went with her boyfriend and pix are super cuddly. What little she's said has that same 'lost in the shock of grief' with a side of letting go of a life plan I've seen before. And coworkers and just prof friends are picking up her appts since I got the call from the salon. And her boss is subbing all her appts. So.

I hope I'm wrong.

Also, still doing work after 2 bourbon&gingers (well, working on 2nd) and it's all insane.

amych, total interview-ma!

sarameg, that is awful.

Steph, WTF? Almost everyone has family and responsibilities, so fuck him sideways with a rusty chainsaw.

Posted my house-sale 99.9% done deal on Beep Me, but adding that most likely ex will have signed on house sale tomorrow...and we have a meeting with DH's lawyer, the both of us, with a list of Shit She's Fucked Him/Us On and We Will Now Go Full Metal Jacket On.

I am SO organized for this meeting, yo. We will not do anything to disrupt The Kiddo's well-being than the necessary litigation will...but godDAMN, it's all, "You wanna see my Gandhi impression?...Well, if he was really pissed." And I am good at this stuff, and DH is in the right and we have scads of evidence. Stressor, be banished to the hell ye sprang from, beastie!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Strix, I'm glad you get the opportunity to get your well-organized and supported ass-kicking on! I hope that it is every bit as effective and satisfying as it should be.

Thanks, Debet, and from your mouth to I'm Agnostic's ear.

I just told my project lead to go to bed or get cuddles(she's got a 5 month old.) boundaries broken after 11 pm. I'm actually going to have stern words with her if I see evidence of otherwise. I know what her day was like. It was mine. I don't have a family to take care of, but damnbetchta I got my 2 hrs at the Y. And decompress bourbon.

Oh god, you know what you don't want to find in your bedroom? (Well, lots of things, I'm sure.) Moth larvae. I am horrified and want to burn the house down. Tim is vacuuming ALL THE THINGS.

In all the time I've lived here (>7 years), this has never been a problem. The only thing that's changed recently is that the dog started sleeping in the bedroom. And Google tells me that moths eat any animal fiber, not just wool, so pet hair is a favorite for them.

Sorry, Kato, but you're banned from the bedroom. Which will suck, because he will whine and cry and bark.

Ewww, Tep. Nast.

I'm watching my alma mater do their annual get-a-high-seed-then-fail. Sigh.
