Punishingly Intricate

Hope your mom's treatment is effective with few side effects, Jesse.

Not sure if I mentioned it here, but the deciding factor for the seller choosing our house? A letter. I wrote a letter based on the suggestion of both the loan officer and my realtor. Just about me and what I liked about the house and how I saw my family fitting into it.

Awesome! That's how friends in CO "won" the house they bought in Boulder last year. Is it a Colorado thing?

A judge in my area was mauled by a zebra today (his father keeps it and other exotic animals). I wonder if the cops thought it was St. Patrick's day drunkenness before verifying that an actual zebra was involved?

Zebras maul people???

Also, that's terribly unfortunate. And yet hilarious.

I hope your mom's treatment goes as well as possible, Jesse.

Good luck to your mom, Jesse.

I didn't wear green today (all my Irish is inside), but I did make Irish soda bread tonight. It's not quite in violation of my Lenten fast, as the whole thing only has 1/3 cup of sugar in it, and a cup of currants. Tastes pretty good, and it looks lovely. Should have taken a photo before I cut a piece.

Anyway, I'll bring it to the office tomorrow, maybe with a container of jam from Walgreen's.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Is it a Colorado thing?

Maybe? Maybe a hot market thing...trying to differentiate multiple offers?

Also, that's terribly unfortunate. And yet hilarious.

Yes. This.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Treatment~ma for your mom, Jesse.

I remember a (bad) sci-fi movie, years ago, name forgotten, that starred a woman who could... talk to animals, I think? Might've been a comic-book movie. Anyway, she was so special, she rode a zebra instead of a horse. They tried to get an actual zebra for her to ride, and discovered that zebras are not just horsies with stripes: supposedly they can't be tamed to ride, they are wild and mean and they just try to kill you. So they got her a regular horse and painted stripes on it, and called it a zebra. Like no one would notice. Hilariously bad movie.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

From what I've heard, zebras are assholes.

I am not a fan of keeping wild animals as pets, but I am sorry the guy got mauled.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

My GOD, Seanan McGuire is a prolific writer. I know Sunil is friends with her, but Jesus, does she ever sleep?

No, not really. I envy her productivity, but not enough to work at her bonkers pace.

Best of luck to your mom, Jesse.
