Congrats Suzi and Susan!
And a sympathetic ARRRGGH! for you Consuela. It's such a crappy place to be, and I can recall how much I just felt stuck there. You are so amazing for the way you make time for your own happiness and make nice things to share with the family. So important to do that.
Suela, I know that feel. At least my grandmother allowed me/us to take over her medication management, so she just takes the pills we help her put in her pill box. Every time we do it, she says that she could do it herself (which, no), but it's nice to have help (indeed) and she doesn't even know what all these pills are for (however many times she is told).
Hooray for house! Hooray for burritos and kissing!
Is anyone around? I need distracting so I don't rip into a friend of the family who is a few years younger than me about leftism, SJWs, and feminism.
I'm sort of around. Trying to finish up a chapter before bed, but falling prey to distraction.
I'm aroundish. Reading the latest InCryptid novel when I should be going to sleep. But I'm only halfway through and I woke up very early this morning so may fail soon. Sorry you're getting to know one of the crappy parts about time zones!
What kind of distraction do you want?
Here is an article about the Metropolitan Museum of Art putting zillions of works of art on the intertubes for all and sundry [link] The idea seems familiar, perhaps it has already been brought up here.
meara, I just put those on my "keep an eye out for at the used bookstore" list, since people keep talking about them.
Thanks, guys. I don't know, I don't have a good topic for conversation at the moment. Once I finish dinner I may try closing the laptop and reading for a while.
I find that sometimes, turning off the wifi helps.
Though that's just when I'm attempting to be productive.
I think I'm not that desperate. Yet, at least.
