Wow, Jess, that house would fit in right up the street from me! Same style on the outside. Given the vintage, not too surprising, except it predates mine by a year and those up the street are mid to late thirties. NY a trendsetter , I guess!

we had to go out of town to a furniture place to by the c/c - whihc have been llooking for but not finding...
if that had been at the farmer's market we would have had to bring it home on bicycles. the suburu was bad enough

My strawberry pie will be perfect tomorrow, but since we are eating it tonight it's more of a strawberry sauce with some shortbread underneath it. Fortunately I planned ahead and had DH run out for ice cream earlier.
4 doz more rum snickerdoodles made. I think that's enough? Sending a few to my friend with her forwarded mail and any leftovers from the meeting, I'll take to the Y pool crew. I hope there will be leftovers, or I'll probably have to make them another batch. Because I made the mistake of telling them...
Also, baking note: the colder to dough, the puffier the cookie. Dough towards end spent more time in fridge and has about twice the volume.
