Last year's bonus went to the down payment on the cabin, which was a lot more exciting. But I'm trying to pay it off within the 5-year ARM period so it does feel good to take a chunk off of that. I got a good deal, so it should be doable. More than half of the monthly payment is the property tax escrow.
But I do still have my tax return to do something fun with. Unless I get the billpay urge again.
Oooh, "paid off cabin" is very exciting!
I sympathize with the billpay urge, brenda. I'm trying to get my credit card paid off so I can buy a "new" car next year. It means I'm really throwing down on it every month, but I'm making payments double what I want for car payments, so I know I can afford the car payment when it finally starts!
Go Sail! That sounds very sensible.
Right, can't wear slippers to work. At least I realized before I got out the door this time.
Oh, hey, it's been 18 years of Buffy. How about that?
Sail, are you busy this weekend? I'm probably going to Madison to celebrate my birthday with a few friends--wanna join us? Sounds like Friday night and maybe Saturday?
(Non of my non-buffista friends seem to be cat-herders, so we're late with the planning.)
Love to, tommy! I've even got a place for you to crash, if you need it. My roommate is off to California for a couple weeks; you're welcome to use her room.

Got all the way to the park this morning before realizing the dog had no collar on. DST gronk.
Between DST and being pre-coffee, I managed to break a mug and pour wet coffee grinds all over the floor. Gronk.
Now to have a chat with my boss about the ridiculous drama. Ugh.
I totally brought Steph's rule about no abbreviations unless it's in the piece five times to my staff meeting -- did I say that yesterday? We liked it!
I cling to my acronyms. I would go bonkers if I had to spell out complementary metal-oxide semiconductor every time.
