Real simple doesn't do calorie counts for their quick dinner recipes, sadly, though I have found the provided calorie counts for most recipes to usually be woefully wrong when checked with my actual ingredients. Cooking Light cheats for sure; every ingredient they use must be chosen for the calorie count, and their portions are ridiculously tiny. So now if I'm counting I do it myself, PITA that it is.
True, Suzi. I carry it with me when I run, just in case, so it's kind of slotted into "essentials" in my head, but it occurred to me that maybe it isn't. But it's not a big deal either way.
I think I am mostly packed. Couple things still in the laundry, and all the stuff I can't pack until the last minute, but that's basically it. And I have my passport and a bunch of credit cards in my "personal item", that's probably all I really truly need.
I should really mow the lawn before I go, it's already looking shaggy and weedy. Not today, though. If it was already getting dark I would feel much more righteous about that.
Where are you going overseas, -t?
Amsterdam, Faroe Islands, and Iceland. Wheeeee!
Ooh, I was gonna make a vacation playlist. I've only got, like, three songs in mind, but still.

Disappointing! Got a good recipe-calorie-counter? I figure there's got to be a good one out there but the few times I've tried I haven't found it.
I am a masochist and build them myself using MyFitnessPal on my phone. It ain't bad but it is slow. If you have recipes you make a lot though, add once and reuse works fine.
I tend to count for a couple of weeks here and there when I realize I have fallen on the ice cream every night habit, my body readjust to the lower intske, and then I can drop counting for a few months. So I have never looked for a more sustainable solution. If I needed to make it a more continuous habit I would do more looking for some sort of magic auto scanner.
I have 7dozen snickerdoodles I'm taking to work. I have a dozen I'm shipping to a coworker. Possibly through work, boss idea. I got my state tax refund today. All I got. Autocorrect hates me.
SuziQ, house-ma. It's a huge PITA, buying OR selling. You have my sympathies.
Juliebird, it sucks, but it sounds like prison might be the best option for your brother. I feel so badly about your family situation.
Woowhee -- long, busy day. But productive -- I consider it a win.
He sounds like he's an ex-Microsoft person, because the amount of acronyms made up and used at random there is impossible to keep track of.
Amazon has an acronym page on the internal wiki. I've worked here less than three weeks and I've already come across one that's not listed, and NOBODY on my team knows what it stands for.
The salad was raw "massaged" kale with rhubarb
I would slap anyone who offered me "massaged" kale.
OK, no I wouldn't, but I would roll my eyes thoroughly and then write something snarky about it.
I'm having serious social hangover anxiety, wondering why I say or do anything ever, so beginning a slapping tradition is probably not good for my mental health.
