Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It was 60 degrees when I drove home from work. 4 days ago was the big snow storm. Ah, March, you are full of wacky weather.

Now I want to be a kitten or a lizard in the sun. Mmm.

Just got a cashiers check for $2400 and sent it off to try to finish my refinance. In theory then in a couple days they will call me and give some of that back, and eventually I'll get current escrow money from my current lender. This process is so more complicated than it seems...but fingers crossed it has so far worked out. IN theory I'm saving several hundred dollars a month (though partly that's because it extends the loan a few more years)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK FINE. I was super happy to come home in the light, and went out and made significant progress on my nemesis ice floe out front.

hip deep in pie

It's 7:12 and still light here. (Though dim.) I don't have a problem with DST, as much as the stupid time changes. Pick one and stick with it.

It's not even dusk here yet. Although I am considering going to bed soon. I am reading the biography of John Hope Franklin, and it is so good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, I made it home in record time, possibly due to it being spring break at at least one local U, AND found a package from msbelle when I got here! Thanks, Rebecca!!

Hey. New board.

Dinner tonight was butternut squash Flatbread with thyme and cheddar and it was very good. Highly recommended. Real Simple is one of my favorite recipe sources in fact; I actually pay a dollar a month for their meal plan, which is five easy recipes and a combined shopping list by email every week. I don't actually make all the recipes since we eat almost vegetarian at home but even having somebody else choose two recipes a week for me is super helpful, and they are always healthful and easy and delicious. Lots of leafy greens.

I had a big huge salad for lunch. Two more to go.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Dinner tonight was butternut squash Flatbread with thyme and cheddar and it was very good.

I have a recipe for butternut squash enchiladas, which are a bit more time-intensive than this flatbread, but really good. I'm bookmarking the flatbread recipe, though, because it looks pretty tasty.
