Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

I heard about that, Matt! So awesome to see it in action.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's 50 degrees here. We drove around with the car windows down. I'm surprised people aren't running naked through the streets (many of them are jogging in shorts.)

I won't lie; I thought about wearing shorts when I walked the dog. But I didn't. But I wore a short-sleeved t-shirt with no jacket! It was a little too chilly for that, but I have no regrets.

Hey. New board.

I saw several pairs of shorts in my walk. I am always a slow reactor to season changes; I wear short sleeves a couple of weeks too long I'm the fall and long sleeves a couple of weeks too long in the spring, so it always interests me to see the people on the opposite ends of that decision tree.

Now if only my neighborhood could match the technology with spring-loaded step coverings for dog poop.

I'm back in Chicago waiting on a bus. I didn't find a last minute fare to Los Angeles, although I tried. I met up with extended family instead, and drank too much Prosecco with my parents last night. Why do you hate me like this, sparkling wine?

Well, I can't wholeheartedly recommend roasting celery root whole. It's ok, but I think peeling and cutting it up first might be worthwhile. More research needed.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Last night at one game I was sitting next to a couple, and they were sniffling, and the woman laughed and said, yeah, we've been sick, but we decided to come anyway! Oh, goody for you. I think I caught whatever they were passing around. I've been achy and feverish all day. Dummies.

But it's 63 degrees here and I have all the windows open, and it feels like heaven. Oh, please, let winter be over.

Have made three salads, which should do for work lunches. I still have about half a bunch of celery, half the roasted celery root, and a head of cabbage to deal with. And two eggs, but I can eat those for breakfast tomorrow. And one apple and two oranges, but one piece of fruit a day takes care of those. Hm.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I misremembered the amount of liquid in my slow-cooker burrito bowl, and so the rice I added is all mush. Still tasty, but more of a burrito porridge than the rice bowl I was expecting.

It's in the low 50's here, and blissfully still light out! I know everyone hates changing the clocks, but if it could just stay DST all the time, I'd be a happy camper.
